You can take advantage of our prescriptions by mail online service, which allows you to fill your new and refill prescriptions online from the convenience of your own home, 24 hours a day. Your prescriptions are then delivered right to your door, through free shipping, so that you get your medications in a timely, convenient and affordable manner.

If you have a new prescription, have your doctor fax or phone it in to the online mail order pharmacy. If your prescriptions are at another pharmacy, simply provide us with the pharmacy name and contact information and the prescription details and we will transfer them to our mail order pharmacy (even if it’s another Costco Pharmacy) for processing and delivery.

Once your prescriptions are at our prescriptions by mail pharmacy location, refilling them is easy. Just login to your account and request to re-order your prescriptions. Once you've confirmed your order, we will ship your prescriptions from our pharmacy to the address you had chosen within 3-5 business days. We also make tracking your order easy! With every online order, you will receive a tracking number that will allow you to track your delivery.

How do I order a new, refill, or prescription transfer?

Visit the Costco Pharmacy website at www.costcopharmacy.ca and select 'Order Your Prescripition' from the pharmacy home page.

I have placed a request for a new prescription, what do I do next?

Please mail your handwritten prescription to the Prescriptions by Mail Online Pharmacy in your province. Your physician may also fax in a prescription on your behalf to Prescriptions by Mail Online Pharmacy in your province.

I will be out of medication in 2 days, what should I do?

If you need an immediate fill for your prescription, please contact your physician and have them call in a two week supply to your local Costco pharmacy.

When should I reorder my medication?

Please order a refill at least 2 weeks in advance.

What is the status of my order?

Can I refill my prescription?

You may refill a prescription if there are refills remaining and if it was previously filled at our online pharmacy. If you need to change the quantity or directions of your refill, please request a new prescription from your physician.

Can I transfer my prescription?

You may transfer a prescription from a Costco warehouse pharmacy and other retail pharmacy to the Prescriptions by Mail Online Pharmacy.

How will prescriptions be delivered to me?

Prescription orders are sent by mail through Canada post and other courier services. In some provinces, a signature may be required . When someone answers the door, the delivery agent will hand off the parcel, and collect the signatory name and a signature.

What if I am not at home at the time of delivery?

The delivery agent will leave a delivery notice card at your home. This is used to show that the item is available at a local pick up depot. If the prescription is not picked up within the indicated time frame on the notice card, it will be returned to the Prescriptions by Mail Online Pharmacy. Note, some courier services may return for a second delivery attempt.

How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

Once your written prescription has been received at our facility and you have placed a request online to fill your order, it can be delivered to your house in 3 to 5 business days.

Why didn't I receive all my prescriptions at once?

In order not to delay your prescription therapy, we may ship your items as they are completed in separate packages. At times, it may take longer to fill certain prescriptions. You will not incur any extra shipping charges for split packages.

Do you ship outside Canada?

We do not ship prescriptions outside Canada.

What if I want to pick-up my prescription at my local Costco Pharmacy?

If you prefer to pick up your prescriptions, we recommend that you use our automated refill phone line at your local pharmacy to continue to use your local Costco Pharmacy.

Can I order a narcotic prescription from the Prescriptions by Mail Online Pharmacy?

Currently, our mail order pharmacy cannot process narcotic prescriptions. Please visit your local Costco Pharmacy to have your narcotic medication filled.

If you have insurance, you need to contact your insurance company for co-pay information. Please contact us to obtain the cost of your prescription without insurance.
